Currently, the SPA is being financed by Dimestore Productions, We're providing web space, and otherwise have invested just about everything we can into keeping the place alive and growing. Our intention has been to create and build an SPA Fund, that would be used in the operation of the SPA and be able to finance things like the Hall of Fame, and projects such as the SPA Calendar, Cards, and other promotional efforts. Starting January 2012, we have begun tracking the SPA Fund again, with the advent of our new membership system and eye on becoming an official non-profit organization, this page will track our progress for all to see.
Current goal: Reach +$500.00 so that we can officially organize and file for legal non-profit status. We are currently running "not-for-profit", all memberships and donations will be applied to the current goal.

As the Self Publisher Association is a Volunteer Organization, and aimed at being a non-profit group (though currently still a subsidiary of Dimestore Productions), it's operating costs are minimal and supported wholly by it's members, and what funds they are able to raise to achieve group goals. The SPA runs what is known as the SPA Fund. This fund is used to pay for elected SPA projects as governed by the SPA CHARTER, and any profits help further the fund.
Problem being, you have to spend $$ to make $$, and the Promo fund started at $0.00, and that means some of the grander ideas that the SPA would love to do, like sponsoring conventions and grants for publishers, and a small press museum, well, they are well out of reach at this time. Below is a list of options for donating to the SPA...all donations to help build our group are very much appreciated, and will be governed by the SPA Charter.
